University extension is a process that articulates teaching and research aiming to make the interaction between the university and society truly transformative. This interaction can enrich the educational process, promoting the propagation of academic knowledge and establishing a dynamic that contributes to community participation in academic life (from the 2011 Culture and University Extension Statute).
