Course objectives:

The main objectives of this course revolve around enabling a better understanding of the legal scene regarding human rights in a critical and interdisciplinary perspective:

  1. To allow students to build a profound comprehension regarding the concepts and theoretical constructs about human rights in an international, regional and national perspective
  2. To evaluate how themes regarding human rights relate to the philosophical and historical context
  3. To understand the dynamics of human rights in both a national and an international scope in moments of crisis, emergency states and political transitions
  4. To enable participants to structure a scientific research paper and facilitate future publication of this research paper, as well as future pieces that may contribute to legal debates related to human rights
  5. To have a group of professionals with sufficient legal knowledge to practice law in public institutions, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, government agencies and law agencies directed towards human rights protection
  6. Regarding complementary activities, teachers will give assignments related to each module and conduct case studies after lectures, as well an analysis on possible legal measures for solving problems related to human rights.

 

Target audience:

  1. University graduates in any field who aim to improve their career, work in non-governmental organizations or international organizations concerned with human rights
  2. Lawyers, Members of the Bench, of the prosecution office, the public defender’s office, the Attorney General’s office, government employees and any other Law professionals
  3. Recently graduated people or those who are looking to further their studies in human rights

Module 6 – Monography (60h)

 

Workload: 360 class hours, as well as a mandatory monography

 

Pricing: 18 installments of R$970

 

Biweekly classes: Saturdays, from 8am to 5:30pm
