Is with deep regret that we communicate the passing of Prof. Dr. Luiz Olavo Baptista, Titular Professor of Faculdade de Direito e Professor Emérito da Faculdade de Direito de Ribeirão Perto, da Universidade de São Paulo.

Expert in arbitration, International Law and Trade and lawyer, the Professor presided several  arbitration courts, such as the Órgão de Apelação da Organização Mundial do Comércio. He also worked in the Associação dos Advogados de São Paulo, Conselho Federal and seccional paulista da Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil, Conselho Superior de Assuntos Jurídicos e Legislativos da Fiesp, among others. His death puts into mourning, not only family and friends, but the whole academic community.
